Help OCPCC Build The Woodlands Campus In Randolph

Introduction: The Orange County Parent Child Center (OCPCC) is a cornerstone of family support and early childhood education in Central Vermont, serving 16 towns with comprehensive services that include early childhood education, home visiting, parent education and support, and community playgroups. Our Meadlowlands Campus in Tunbridge has been a beacon of hope for families throughout Orange and north Windsor Counties for many years.

The Need: Vermont, and rural communities in particular, face a significant childcare shortage, with many families struggling to find high quality, reliable, full-day, full-year affordable care.

      • A needs assessment found that there are at least 117 infants, 59 toddlers, and 136 preschoolers who need but do not have access to care in our region.
      • Lack of childcare leaves many parents without the critical support they need to work and provide for their families and deprives children of an important educational opportunity.
      • The lack of available childcare not only impacts individual families, but also hampers the overall economic health of our communities.

“A safe, stimulating environment and consistent, nurturing relationships with caregivers not only changes the way a child’s brain develops but also affects their future learning and lifelong health in myriad and profound ways.”

– Dr. Louis A. DiNicola, Randolph pediatrician (retired)

“When Vermont communities can’t meet the demand for childcare, we have no hope of attracting talent to the state. The childcare crisis has become a barrier to business and workforce growth.”

– Sam Hooper, President and Owner, Vermont Glove Company

The Solution:

To address this pressing need, OCPCC is embarking on the Woodlands Campus Project. This transformative initiative involves establishing a new location in Randolph, convenient to I-89, serving parents that live in the area or commute to or from the Randolph region. The project will expand our capacity, serving 62 more children, 6 weeks to 5 years, and their families with this much-needed childcare. This new location will also allow us to reach more families with our other core supportive services.

We need to raise over $750,000 to furnish the facility, obtain supplies, set-up the playground, hire teachers, and prepare the new center for a successful launch. Donations are fully tax deductible.

We invite you to join us in making this vision a reality. Your support for The Woodlands Campus Project will help us build a brighter future for Vermont’s children and families. Together we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Credit card transactions are securely processed through the Stripe gateway. See our Privacy Policy for more detailed information.

      • We will never sell, share, trade, or disclose any personal information about you.
      • When you donate, we require the entry of only enough information about you to process your transaction.
      • Our credit card processing company is not authorized to retain, share, store, or use your personal information.

We would like to offer donors the opportunity to be recognized or honor their loved ones by having a Woodlands Campus classroom or playground named after them. If you wish to to participate in this enduring tribute to those who have helped make our vision a reality, or if you want to make a non-cash donation to the Woodlands Campus Project, please contact OCPCC Executive Director Lindsey Trombley at 1(802)685-2264 or lindsey@orangecountypcc.org.
